Hundreds protest stay-at-home order

| April 17, 2020 4:54 PM

Several hundred people marched the Long Bridge on Friday to protest Gov. Brad Little’s stay-at-home order because of the novel coronavirus pandemic. Those taking part in the march expressed frustration and anger over an order which they say is throttling businesses, marooning employees and thwarting communal religious worship.

Organizers contend all businesses are essential and Idahoans have a fundamental right to provide for their families.

The protest coincides with another protest set for Friday in Boise. Similar protests have occurred in Utah, Wyoming, Michigan, Ohio, North Carolina and Virginia.
