Philip R. Turner, 73, passed away at his home on April 12, 2020, in Sagle, Idaho.
Memorial services, with military honors, will announced later.
Philip was born on January 26, 1947, in Ely, Nevada, the son of Raymond and Barbara Turner. He moved to Sandpoint, Idaho, in 1957, attending local schools and graduated from Sandpoint High School in 1965.
He joined the U.S. Navy, serving for 22 years, retiring on the March 1, 1998, with the rank of chief avionics maintenance technician. Following his retirement, he returned to the Sagle area.
Philip married Cynthia Martin on December 5, 1980 in San Diego, California. She preceded him in death in 1998.
He was relaxed in his retirement taking long walks, reading and playing with his cat, Smokey.
He is survived by his daughter, Jessica Turner (and Dakota); his brother, Earl Turner; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Cynthia; and one brother.
