Bonds in the sum of $140,000, $125,000 for the construction of a new high school building and $15,000 for the furnishing of the same, were voted at the school district bond election. Public sentiment seems to be that it should be erected on another site than the present Farmin school site.

BIG CROWD ATTENDS PICNIC
The formal opening of the municipal bathing beach, celebrated with a community picnic on the waterfront Wednesday, drew out a crowd of over 500 people, over half of whom took advantage of the occasion for a dip in the lake and all of whom fully enjoyed an outdoor lunch on the beach. The new diving float was the scene of a men’s diving contest. Rollin Farmin and Neil Wendle divided first prize, while Thomas McGeorge finished third.
