LIBRARY HIT BY INCENDIARY FIRE DAMAGE

The Sandpoint Library was hit Tuesday by an early morning fire of a set nature which will result in $4,000 or more damage. Fire Chief Art Chubb said the blaze was definitely arson, as someone apparently stuffed combustible material through the book return slot and ignited it. The blaze was discovered by a paper boy at 5:00 a.m. Only a few minutes were needed to extinguish the blaze but smoke damaged the entire two-floor structure, leaving a dirty deposit on books, periodicals, reference materials and magazines, which must all be cleaned before the public can use them.

CITY BREVITIES

Two babies were born this week at City hospital, a son Sunday to Mr. and Mrs. George Moore and a son (Archie) Monday to Mr. and Mrs. Archie Gollen, Sagle.

Loggers are much elated with the weather of the past week. The snow lies quite heavy in the hills and all the camps are running at full blast.
