Sorbel, Poirier, Troumbley all place third at George Wild Invitational

RATHDRUM — Priest River wrestling was one of 10 teams that took part in the George Wild Invitational at Lakeland High this past weekend.
Nine Spartans placed at the tournament and Hayden Sorbel (106), Aidan Troumbley (126) and Keith Poirier (120) led the way. Each placed third in their respective weight classes.
At 138 pounds, Devin Nessel and Shayd Wong-Yuen captured fourth and sixth respectively.
Landon Reynolds took seventh at 195 pounds, and Caeden McLaimtaig (120), Dylan Lord (126) and Matyus McLain (170) all secured eighth-place finishes.
The Spartans took eighth as a team with 69 points.
Priest River heads to St. Maries on Tuesday, Jan. 12.
