SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — Sandpoint girls basketball saw its six-game winning streak come to an end Wednesday as West Valley took care of the Bulldogs 50-25.

It was Sandpoint’s first loss since they fell to Lake City at home on Jan. 8.

“The big difference tonight was we had a tough time getting our offense going,” head coach Will Love said. “We weren’t able to move the ball like we’ve been able to against other teams.”

Junior Hattie Larson led the team with 9 points. Seniors Maddie Morgan, Izzo Edwards and Dawson Driggs added 5, 4 and 3 points respectively.

“I think we learned some good lessons tonight in the loss on some areas where we need to work and get better,” Love said, “and the girls are pretty anxious to focus on those in the next two days of practice.”

Next up for the Bulldogs (13-7, 3-0 IEL) is their regular season finale against Moscow 4:30 p.m. Saturday at Les Rogers Court.
