NAMPA — Priest River senior Teagun Holycross competed at the Nike Boise Indoor Invite this weekend with his teammates from the Spokane Speed Academy Track and Field Club and set four new personal bests.

The highlight of the meet came in the boys 4x200 relay where Holycross and teammates Jacob Schnatter (Lake City High School), Logan Allen (Lakeside High School in Washington) and Pedro Sandre (Medical Lake High School) took home first out of 29 teams with a time of 1:31.13, which is about a second and a half off the meet record. Holycross ran the anchor leg of the relay.

In the boys 60-meter dash, he set a new personal record with a 7.29 in the prelims to take 23rd out of 133 runners.

Holycross also set PR’s in the 200 and 400. He ran a 23.07 in the 200 to finish 15th out of 152 and sprinted a 52.29 in the 400 to take 11th out of 105.

This was the second to last indoor event for Holycross this year before he gets ready for the high school track season in March. Holycross began his indoor track season at the Vandal Open on Jan. 11 and wraps it up this coming weekend at the 42nd Simplot Games at Idaho State University’s Holt Arena.
