Baker set to speak at NAMI meeting

SANDPOINT — Christi Baker, volunteer coordinator for Panhandle Animal Shelter, will be speaking at today’s NAMI Far North meeting.

The meeting will take place at 5:30 p.m. at the VFW Hall, 1325 Pine St.

Baker began working at the shelter in spring 2019 and is responsible for volunteer orientations, training volunteers and many community outreach events. She is committed to serving the communities she has lived in throughout her entire life. Baker has a great love of being helpful to both the humans and the animals with whom she works.

After the general meeting, participants will break out into support groups.

Everyone is welcome, particularly those living with mental illness, are a family member or a friend of someone with mental illness.
