PRE hosting Family Fun Math Night

After two years of successful family math nights at Priest River Elementary, West Bonner County School District’s Math Cadre team decided it was time for a district-wide Family Fun Math Night.

The district will serve a chicken dinner at no cost to attending families from 5:00 pm to 5:30 pm on March 12 in the cafeteria of Priest River Lamanna High School.

Following dinner, there will be a variety of fun math lessons and game experiences offered for all ages in different classrooms at the high school. Families can choose from any of 12 different sessions that will run throughout the evening in 25-minute increments until 7 p.m.

Organizers said it is their hope that this event will be helpful to parents who are involved in helping their children with math homework, and that it will spark some continued interest in community events centered around academic themes.

The entire West Bonner County community is invited to join the team for games, lessons, interactive competitions and some fun giveaways.
