Colombini chosen as region’s top advisor

The Priest River Lamanna High School Student Council has returned home from a very successful to the Idaho Association of Student Councils state leadership conference in Boise.

In addition to bringing home one of the three “Most Spirited Awards” for the state of Idaho, the Priest River students were the only council to be formally recognized with personal thank you notes from the Boise State University staff as some of the most polite, kind, and responsible students they’ve had the pleasure of interacting with.

“We were the recipients of the Thunderridge High School “Outstanding” Award for our overwhelming support of other high schools and their achievements,” PRLHS Principal Joe Kren said.

Shelby Hanna ran for Region 1&2 president and made it to the final two and was runner-up. In addition, the PRLHS students led two breakout sessions for other schools on the implementation of the Core Project in the high school and how it works.

Kren also noted that Kim Colombini was chosen as the Region I and II advisor of the year.

“Congratulations to all our students for an excellent showing at the state conference and for representing our community in such a positive way,” he said.
