Tracey Howard
After a three-year battle with cancer, Tracey Howard passed away on Monday, Jan. 6, 2020, while surrounded by his loved ones at the Schneidmiller Hospice House in Coeur d’Alene.
Tracey was a loving father, husband, friend, son and brother.
He left behind a son, Jeff Howard; daughter, Patti Quayle; five grandchildren; partner, Kathy Sauer; mother, Georgia Howard; three siblings, Troy Howard, Steven Howard, and Kerri Lee; his 102-year-old grandmother, Flo Stoltz; numerous nieces and nephews; and by his many friends and colleagues. He was widowed by his wife of 18 years in 2006.
Born in El Paso, Texas, Tracey moved to the Pacific Northwest as a teenager with his parents and siblings. He married his high school sweetheart, Sherri, in 1988. Years later they settled in North Idaho together with their two children.
Tracey was always fascinated by technology, and enjoyed tinkering with computers and other electronics.
After raising his children, he enjoyed traveling and had a special fondness for Hawaii. Even after his cancer diagnosis and many surgeries and treatments, he remained dedicated to living life to the fullest.
Tracey will be remembered fondly and missed by all who knew him.
