Jan. 26, 1970 — DENTIST TO OPEN OFFICE

Dr. Clifford G. Munce, DDS, will open his office in the Professional Building for the practice of general dentistry this week. Dr. Munce and his wife, Mary, have five children. Eldest daughter, Lana, is married and following a career in nursing. Two other children, Clifford and Jennifer, are attending Upper Columbia Academy at Spangle, Wash. Heidi and Jerry attend school locally.

Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Jeffers announce the upcoming March 13 marriage of their daughter, Jill, to Robert Heffner, son of Mr. and Mrs. R.E. Heffner, Idaho Falls. Jill Jeffers, a 1969 U of I graduate, teaches English in Boise’s Borah High School. Her fiancé, also a 1969 U of I graduate, is employed by the Idaho Tax Commission. The wedding will take place in Sun Valley, Ida.

Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Meredith and daughter, Janet, are making plans for a trip to Hawaii to attend the Feb. 21 wedding of David Meredith and Sharon Murphy of Aberdeen, Wash. David plans to come from Vietnam for the wedding.

OFFICERS ELECTED

New officers for the Episcopal Church St. Agnes’ Guild were elected at a dessert luncheon meeting at the home of Mrs. R.M. Curtis. Mrs. Curtis was elected president; Mrs. Charles Fontaine, vice president; Mrs. John Page, secretary; and Mrs. Jack Jones, treasurer.

The Delphian society will meet with Mrs. Paul M. Bower, 510 S. Huron avenue, Monday at 2:30.

Albert Seymour of Dover arrived home Monday from service with the A.E.F. (American Expeditionary Force). He was for six months in China and Russia.

COUNTY MAKES GREAT SHOWING

Bonner county won two first premium ribbons and four third premium ribbons on exhibits at the state seed show at Pocatello.

Alphonse Barbishe of Clarksfork received first premium upon his exhibit of Idaho Rural seed potatoes, 25 entries having been made from around the state. J.R. List of Selle was awarded third premium among the 25 exhibits.

Oliver Ruen of Clarksfork received 1st premium on a sheaf of oats; Matt Schmitt, Oden, 3rd premium on rye exhibit; Anton Petre, Sandpoint, 3rd premium on barley exhibit.

County Agent Ludwick was delighted with the county’s showing. Bonner’s exhibit was small due to the long distance, and to win so many prizes speaks volumes for her agricultural resources.
