(Photo courtesy DICK VAIL) After Steve Navarre retired and sold Steve’s Import Auto, he and his wife Linda decided they did not require their Jeep pickup and snow plow for their home use. So the couple decided to donate their equipment to the Sandpoint Kiwanis Club for use at Camp Stidwell, located on the south end of Mirror Lake. Bill Ouimet, camp superintendent, presently clears the slightly more than 1/4 mile stretch of road with a tractor snow thrower and it takes 90 minutes to two hours to accomplish, while being exposed to the elements.
