Area reports 30 new cases

SANDPOINT — Thirty new confirmed cases of novel coronavirus were diagnosed on Tuesday, according to the Panhandle Health District.

The new cases bring the regional total to 315 cases, with 255 cases in Kootenai County and 30 cases in Bonner County. There are 13 cases in Benewah County and one case in Boundary County, according to the health district.

There remains 16 cases involving patients whose primary county of residency remains undetermined.

The Idaho Department of Health & Welfare reported 365 confirmed or probable cases of coronavirus on Tuesday, elevating the statewide total to 6,117 cases. The virus is blamed for 92 deaths in the state.

The Northeast Tri-County Health District in Washington state reported 23 cases within its jurisdiction. Eighteen cases are located in Stevens County and four are located in Pend Oreille County. There was one case in Ferry County which proved fatal.

The Montana State Department of Public Health documented 49 new confirmed cases of coronavirus on Tuesday, bringing the statewide total to 976 cases. There are eight cases in Lincoln County and none in Sanders County.
