Jean Ann McGuire, 78
Jean Ann McGuire, 78, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2020 at her home in Sagle, Idaho. A private memorial Mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Father Sleeva Raju officiating.
Jean was born on April 29, 1942, in Milwaukee, Wiscosin, to Thomas and Gertrude Austin. She was the sixth child of eight, and the first girl born into the family. Her father worked for the railroads so the family relocated to Cali-fornia when Jean was 11 years old. Jean graduated from Corvalis High School in Santa Barbara. During her career, she worked various positions in the banking industry, including as a bank teller for Citi National Bank and later in new accounts for Barcley’s Bank in Tarzana.
During the winter of 1981, Jean met Danial McGuire, they knew from the beginning that something special was in their future. Jean and Dan eventually married on August 14, 1982 in a private ceremony in Las Vegas, Nevada, followed by a celebration in Southern California.
Jean was blessed to be a loving mother of four children, Pamela, Hugh, Peggy, and Gregory. She cared and loved her children dearly, always doing whatever it took to bring them joy and happiness throughout their lives together. She was also blessed to have four loving grandchildren, Kyle, Rhiann, Gregory, and Sophia.
Jean was survived by her husband, Daniel McGuire; her two surviving children, Hugh and Peggy; and her four grandchildren. She is also survived by her loving eldest brother, Phil; and her younger sister, Jill.
Jean will be missed dearly by all, including the many friends she had the joy of knowing.
