We, the people, are peons in today’s Washington, D.C.

Trump has risen to cream of the crop in the cesspool that is Trump’s Washington. Trump’s socialism, where the mega-wealthy and corporate America get major tax breaks, is bankrupting our country.

This pandemic has shown that the average wage earner and small businessman are the true foundation of our economic society, not big business and the wealthy.

Trump trying to become a hero, handing out a pittance of fake money to citizens and big bucks to the wealthy and corporate America is so obvious even conservatives should be able to see it.

By his actions and inaction Trump has set the stage for our country’s fall from power. Trump’s cutting funding for medical research, the environment, our infrastructure and health care has caused the U.S. to be a follower, instead of a leader. Under Trump’s lack of leadership we can no longer depend on ourselves.

The government the conservatives so fear is exactly the government Trump is creating. Trump’s deflection of important issues is so blatant, it should be obvious to everyone but it isn’t. Many Trump supporters have little money, blame and fear minorities, have guns and the NRA, but no vision.

Under Trump and a Congress that is corrupt on both sides, we the people, are just peons. It is time to take a stand against abuse of power, profit above common good, lack of leadership in Congress and Trump.

With Trump and this Congress we have not, and are, not prepared. Look for Trump’s next deflection and blame.
