ROSS HALL WAITS IN TREE FOR PIC

When Ross Hall goes after a good scenic shot, persistence and determination are the first orders of business. When Hall was taking a picture of the town of Osburn last week, he discovered that the only complete view would be from up in a tree high up on the hillside. He climbed to the top and found the view he wanted, but the clouds were not right. He waited two hours for the right conditions, then took his picture. He said his leg was a bit stiff when he came down from the tree.

June 28, 1920 – MAKES FAST TIME

J. Blaine Snow, Mitchell Six sales agent of Spokane, made what is believed to be a record for fast driving between Spokane and Sandpoint Friday night when he made the trip in one hour and 45 minutes with H.F. Samuels as passenger. Leaving the Davenport hotel in Spokane at 6:54 p.m., Mr. Samuels remarked that he would like to make it home in two hours. Mr. Snow obliged him. They stopped eight minutes at Rathdrum for oil and gas and to tighten the fan belt and landed at the Hotel Idaho here at 8:45. The trip was in one of the new model Mitchells with the tilting radiator.

BIGGEST CROWD OF SEASON OUT

It looked like the good old days last Sunday when over 300 people saw two ball teams take opposing teams down the line for a pair of wins on the recently opened Humbird field on North Boyer. It was a fine, warm day, there was plenty of dust, plenty of action and the band was out to put a little jazz into the day. The city team beat Post Falls 7-1 and Humbird beat Clarksfork 12-3.
