CITY BREVITIES

A party of young folks held a Hallowe’en dance at the Guild hall Saturday. Russell Pheanas, dolled up like a cafeteria ballet, took first, last and all honors. He was awarded a lovely rosette.

Earl Eagan of Trestle Creek, here on business, said his yield of Green Mountain potatoes will go about 800 sacks, running 100 to 200 sacks per acre, but despite the good yield, there is no profit in potatoes due to last spring’s high cost of seed compared to the market value of the spuds now.
