Pair earn Eagle Scout status
Austin Smith and Daniel Magleby were honored recently after earning their Eagle badge. Both are members of Boy Scout Troop 111.
Two proud new Eagle Scouts from Troop 111 Austin Smith and Daniel Magleby both climbed Eagle Mountain and received their Eagle badge and blue scarf, on Oct. 3, at a ceremony at Camp Stidwell with over 75 people attending.
To qualify 21 merit badges, an Eagle project, and other conditions must be met. Fewer than 4% of all Boy Scouts achieve their Eagle Badge.
Austin’s project was the digging, work, and supplies required for lighting the flag poles at the Bonner County Fairgrounds. Daniel/s project provided Five Fire Safety Kiosks at fire ring locations at Camp Stidwell. The stations included rakes, shovels, hoses, and information board.
