The Chamber of Commerce received a report on the gas samples taken from the Clarksfork valley, which indicates an oil quality similar to that which has brought great wealth to Pennsylvania. Leases over the entire valley have been signed up by C.G. Lewis of Chicago and Herbert Harris of Spokane, and the chamber is awaiting word to learn whether or not they will attempt an immediate development.

HIGH SCHOOL PLAYER HURT
William Hawkins, star of the high school back field, suffered an injury when another player shoved an elbow in his eye. The accident occurred in the high school gymnasium during a practice and the blow caused an exceedingly painful depression of the eyeball. Dr. Wendle said there is no danger of him losing his eye and slight chance of even his vision being impaired. Young Hawkins was in an extremely nervous condition yesterday but is much better today.
