Ramona 'Mona' Ray Fancher, 62
Ramona “Mona” Ray Fancher, 62, passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2020, in Sandpoint, Idaho.
Mona was born on October 5, 1958 in Sandpoint, Idaho, to Ronald and Maxine Cassal. Ramona grew up in Sandpoint, briefly moving out of the state in her adult years, she quickly found her way back home to be close to family and lifelong friends.
Mona was a hard worker, and worked multiple jobs to support her three sons. Mona worked at the Hallmark store and the roller skating rink at the Bonner Mall, and for 25 years at the Idaho Liquor Store in Sandpoint, Ponderay and Bonners Ferry. Mona enjoyed getting to know her regular customers and thought of many of them as family.
Mona was introduced to mud bogging 20 years ago by her children. A hobby that she fell in love with and that would produce many close friendships. Mona also enjoyed fishing and boating on Lake Pend Oreille. Her most rewarding time in life was spent with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her brother, Bruce Cassal of Spanaway Washington; sister Ronnie Cassal of Bonner Ferry, Idaho; three sons, Jeremy Cassal of Sagle, Idaho, Josh Krebs of Sandpoint, and Will Fancher of Post Falls, Idaho; six grandchildren, Ceairra D. Bailey, Wyatt S. Bailey, Sheyann R. Bailey, Keaghan R. Krebs, Jared T.L. Manley and Delaney G. Fancher; and one great-grandchild, Shelby A. Bailey.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Robert Cassal.
Lakeview Funeral Home in Sandpoint is handling the arrangements. A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, November 20, 2020, at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Sandpoint and a celebration of life will take place in the spring of 2021.
