Slow down, don’t you drive so fast

I am writing as an old local with a message to all the folks just moved here, which it seems like there's a lot of. It's going to get slick. Your old driving habits aren't going to work. You need to learn to stay further back from the vehicle in front of you.

This sort of thing sounds curmudgeonly but wait until you can't get across the Long Bridge for the third morning in a week because some tailgater rear-ended someone.

I know you're in a hurry because you always had to be where you came from. Even though you're here because you like the idea of slowing down. That's up to you to figure out. Anyway, I'm not telling you to slow down. I'm telling you you need more room between you and the vehicle in front of you.
