Ethel M. Lundeen, 90,
Ethel M. Lundeen, 90, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2020 in Sagle, Idaho.
Ethel was born on July 1, 1930 in Butte, Montana, to Carl and Maude Moyle. She grew up and attended schools in Butte.
She married David Hansen in 1947. They lived in western Montana and northern Idaho. They had five children and later divorced. She remained in the Rexford and Eureka area, working as a bartender.
Ethel married Carl Lundeen in Eureka in 1971, and they moved to the Lundeen family farm the next summer. She had found her happy place! From helping birth calves to planting two gardens and selling the extra produce, she tackled farm life as she did any challenge: full steam ahead!
Ethel went on to cook for the local school district and the Eureka Senior Center, with Carl as the manager and custodian. They made a good team.
After retirement, she indulged in her hobbies of crocheting and baking. Many doilies, afghans, and baked goodies were distributed around the Eureka area, as well as Mountain View Manor, where her sister, and later her mother, resided. She was also heavily involved with the Toys for Tots for many years.
She is survived by her five daughters, Sheryl Hansen of Pullman, Washington, Marilyn Countryman of Athol, Idaho, Carlene (John) Smith of Prescott, Arizona, Bobbie (Neal) Marcy of Sagle, and Nancy (Mike) Fultz of Kalispell, Montana; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; and brother-in-law Don Lundeen of Eureka, Montana.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl; three brothers, Carl, Bob, and Ron Moyle; one sister, Nancy Moyle; mother-in-law Ethel Lundeen; and two sons-in-law, Allen Countrymen and Harold Williams. At her request, there will be no service.
