Sandpoint author shortlisted for literary award
Xann-Shapella Smith, a Sandpoint resident and author has been shortlisted for the Page Turner Awards eBook Award for her contemporary and historical romance eBook, Will-O'-the-Wisp Point.
The story, according to the press release, is about a woman who washes ashore on a place called “Will-O'-the-Wisp Point,” and is forced to choose between running from her past or accepting a second chance she's been given.
The story is adapted from an original screenplay, according to Smith’s page on the Page Turner Awards website.
Smith grew up on a farm, according to the press release, and would often daydream about far-off places and imagined characters. Now, that same farm is where she writes stories “with strong female characters and family-centered themes,” according to the press release.
“All-in-all,” Smith wrote, “The Page Turner Awards has been a wonderful experience from start to finish.”
