Panida hosting annual meeting
The annual Panida membership meeting will be held Oct. 17 at 6 p.m.
The meeting will be held in the main theater with all the current safety precautions observed and the ability for the appropriate social distancing. An online format will be offered as well for those preferring to watch the meeting virtually.
This much-anticipated yearly gathering brings together the board and the membership and, also invited, are all who have generously volunteered time or contributed monetary support to the Panida Theater. Attendees will have the opportunity to applaud the hard work and dedication of the staff, ask questions, as well as make observations and recommendations toward creating an ever-brighter future for the Panida during this unprecedented challenging time.
Members also will hear from the three new board members who will be voted on and confirmed at this meeting, as well. The three are Kevin Smith, a consistent volunteer and donor; Teresa Pesce, a contributor to the Panida Playhouse Players theater group and longtime supporter; and Tari Pardini, former Panida board member and volunteer.
Panida memberships are available online or the afternoon of the event. Options include basic, $60; and VIP, $1200, both of which support the operations of the Panida. New loyalty cards are also available for $10 and reward returning patrons with special perks. All cards can be picked up at the at the annual meeting or will be mailed out.
Hors d’oeuvres and wine will be available, and everyone will be eligible to win door prizes and participate in a silent auction.
The Panida is a celebrated historic icon and serves as the heart of the community, Panida Executive Director Patricia Walker said. It is the sincere hope of Panida board and staff members that all who feel comfortable attending will come celebrate with them at the theater.
