BONNER COUNTY FACILITIES DEPARTMENT ADMINISTRATION BUILDING PARKING AREA IMPROVEMENTS NOTICE OF ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID Sealed Bids will be received by Bonner County at the office of the County Commissioners of said County on or before the 28th day of September, 2020 , until the hour of 9:30 a.m. for the Administration Building Parking Area Improvements Project . Bids shall be hand delivered or mailed to the Office of County Commissioners, located at 1500 Highway 2, Suite 308, Sandpoint, ID 83864. Envelopes shall be clearly marked "Bid Enclosed - Admin Building Parking Area Project". Bids received will be opened and read aloud in the Commissioner's Office by an appointed Bonner County official. Late bids will not be considered. The project consists of removing the existing approximate 5,297 square yards of 4" thickness of asphalt at the south parking area of the County Administration Building and replacing it with a 4" thickness of new asphalt. The project will also include re-grading of the easterly portion of the existing parking area for the purpose of improving stormwater ponding, and striping of new asphalt to match the existing parking layout. A successful bid should also include installation of (2) new concrete catch basins, as alternatives. The project will need to be completed within a 3 week period as the building will remain in use during the project. A pre-bid meeting will be held on at the project site on September 18th, 2020 at 9:00am. Bid forms, bidder's instructions, plans and specifications, and contract forms may be examined at the following locations: * Bonner County Public Works Office, 1500 Hwy 2, Suite 101, Sandpoint, ID 83864, Phone 208-255-5681. Copies may be obtained at the Public Works Office. The standard set of contract documents includes the project drawings. All bids shall contain one of the following forms of bidder's security in an amount equal to 5% of the amount bid: (a) Cash, (b) Cashiers Check made payable to the County, (c) Certified Check made payable to the County, or (d) bidder's bond executed by a qualified Idaho Surety Company, made payable to the County. Bids will remain subject to acceptance for 45 days after the bid opening. Davis-Bacon Wage Rates will not be applicable to this project. The right is reserved to reject any or all Bids. NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Selle-Samuels Comprehensive Plan Committee will hold a public meeting beginning at 5:30 on Thursday, September 24, 2020, in the Main Exhibit Building of the Bonner County Fair Grounds, 4203 North Boyer Avenue, Sandpoint, Idaho, by Zoom teleconference, and YouTube Livestream. In 2017 the Planning & Zoning Commission formed a committee consisting of residents and property owners in the Selle-Samuels area. The purpose of the appointed committee was to assist in the creation of a Comprehensive Plan for the area. The group began meeting on May 23, 2017 once a month. In February of this year the committee finalized their draft plan. The committee invites you to attend a public meeting where they will present their written plan to the residents and property owners of the Selle-Samuels area. The Comprehensive Plan guides future growth and development. The Planning & Zoning Commission encourages you to attend the meeting and provide comments to them before this Plan goes to public hearing, at a date and time yet to be determined.
