Anti-maskers and the library district

| April 15, 2021 1:00 AM

In the twenty years that I have been member of the Friends of The Library, the library has been a sanctuary. Under the able leadership of Ann Nichols, the library has been place of community, wisdom and intelligence. She and her staff actively stand up for democracy daily. The library serves the entire county, including those who tried twice to force their way in without wearing required masks. These outliers are in the minority and need to be reined in. Two of these people are running for places on the library Board of Directors in lieu of Janine Asche and Amy Flint who are up for reelection to the board. Please join me and many, many others in support of these two outstanding members of the board and remember to vote on May 18. The community cannot afford to have these good people lose their seats to representatives of willful ignorance who refuse to take part in protecting Bonner County. The library is a non-political entity. The anti-makers are trying to make it political. This must not happen.
