Earth Day events set for Saturday
SANDPOINT — You're invited to make the community a little cleaner this weekend.
On Saturday, several events are planned to picked up trash and litter, from City Beach and Sand Creek to the Pine Street Woods.
• Shoreline Clean Up — The city of Sandpoint and Lake Pend Oreille Waterkeeper are partnering for their annual Shoreline Clean Up from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Everyone is invited to help pick up trash and litter along the Sand Creek and City Beach shorelines.
All community members are welcome to participate - LPOW and the city will provide free gloves and bags. Interested participants can show up any time between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the City Beach pavilion. There will be local coffee and treats available to keep everyone going

• Earth Day Clean Up — Kaniksu Land Trust is holding a cleanup at Pine Street Woods, which will run from 10 a.m. to noon and 1-3 p.m Saturday, April 24, with snacks and refreshments for volunteers. KLT merchandise will also be for sale.
Teams, guided by crew leaders, will work together beautifying the trails and grounds.
