Ask a busy adult to take on just one more thing and they will sigh a deep breath, roll their eyes and think about punching you in the arm.

With today’s pressures placed on us, I thought it would be helpful to provide my readers with a few simple steps that can be taken to boost your health and leave you with more energy.

Did you know that adding a vitamin-C rich food or juice with an iron-containing food boosts the amount of iron your body absorbs? Yes, it is true.

Season your lean beef entrees with parsley and fresh thyme. Parsley also cleanses your liver! Or, add spinach and bell peppers to your omelet. Or, eat peanut butter on toast with a few slices of strawberries, on the side. Delicious.

Nutritional yeast flakes are loaded with nutrients that support slimming and rev energy. Only 1 1/2 tablespoons of the flakes provide 8 grams protein, 4 grams of filling fiber and more than 100 percent of the recommended daily doses of thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, folate, and B12.

Convert your nutritious food into fuel, detoxify the liver, regulate your blood sugar and increase the production of appetite-regulating brain chemicals.

Regardless of what you have going on in your life. Work. Kids. Stress. Feed your body with the expectation of how you want it to run. Eat crud, you will feel like crud. Eat good nutritious food at each meal and you will be pleasingly surprised at how you feel.
