Laura Janet Osterman, 79

Laura Janet Osterman, 79, passed away on Sunday, August 8, 2021, in Sandpoint, Idaho. Services will be announced at a later date.

Laura was born on November 13, 1941, in Avenal, California, to Wallace and Essie Vanderford. She grew up in Coalinga, California, and graduated from Clovis High School. Laura worked as senior administrative assistant CUSD for 38 years.

She was married and had four children. Laura later married Richard Osterman on July 7, 2014, in Eureka, California. They moved to Sandpoint in 2016.

Laura loved Jesus with all of her heart; she was always happy, bubbly, vivacious, loved life and made everyone feel special and loved. She enjoyed puzzles, Disney, Mickey Mouse, adventure, traveling, antiquing, and genealogy.

She is survived by her husband Richard Osterman of Sandpoint; four children, Cheryl Sechrist of Sea Brook, Texas, Tamara (Scott) Conrad of Oakhurst, California, Ward (Debbie) Hollesen Jr. of Auburn, California, and Jennifer (Karl) Kleinkauf of Sandpoint; four stepchildren Tammy Reed, Richard Osterman, Jr, Bobette Hetts, and April Glenn. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, William and Charles Vanderford; grandson, Dustin Sechrist; and granddaughter, Shanda Murphy.
