Why don't we celebrate nuclear families?

I read a lot of articles about how we should celebrate diversity and the LGBTQ movement. How about we celebrate the traditions of America such as the nuclear family and the values of having a mother and father growing up for our entire life and the values that we learn growing up in that environment. Has it become a crime to celebrate the traditional way of American life?...
