PRIEST LAKE — Over 30 kilometers of Nordic ski and snowshoe trails have been groomed and are ready for the season.

The four trail systems included in the grooming are Hanna Flats, Priest Lake Golf Course, Chipmunk Rapids, and the Indian Creek Unit of the Priest Lake State Park. trail systems are groomed by the Priest Lake Nordic Club to keep them available to the public for winter sports.

“All the trails have been groomed and skiing is excellent,” Tom Weitz, PLNC president, said.

The PLNC spent the fall cleaning up the trails and thinning brush in order to make a better winter sport season, Weitz said

The trails are part of the Idaho Parks and Recreation Park N' Ski program. Season passes are $25 per vehicle and can be purchased online at parksandrecreation.idaho.gov or purchased at either Tamrak Hardware or the Leonard Paul Store in Coolin.
