WSU Master Gardeners offer virtual ‘seed starting’ class
The WSU Master Gardeners are offering a live internet class called “Seed Starting,” on Thursday, Feb. 11, from 6:30-8 p.m. The class will be taught by Master Gardeners Vicki Green and Dixie Chichester. In this class you’ll learn to decide whether to start your own seeds, choose a soil mix and containers, create a planting calendar, sow your seeds, and how to care for your new seedlings. The class fee is $5 and can be paid by check or money order.
Anyone with a computer or smart phone and internet access will be able to attend this virtual Zoom class by calling or emailing program coordinator, Beverly Sarles, to register. Those that are registered will receive an email, a day before the class, with the Zoom link and directions on how to access the presentation. The Zoom class will be interactive so participants will be able to make comments and ask questions. Even if participants do not have a camera and microphone on their computers, they can view the class and ask questions by typing them into a chat box. In order to register for the class, so you can receive the Zoom link and learn where to send the class fee, please contact Beverly Sarles, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., at 509-447-2401 or email anytime at: beverly.sarles@wsu.edu.
