Consider everyone's health and wear a mask
The Panhandle Health District met recently to discuss the mask mandate. I live here and in another state that requires masks. It is a relief to be in a place requiring masks. I feel I have more freedom and safer to be in the community there than I do here. The other state has a much lower rate of infection, of course, yet is much more densely populated.
Ah...the science is followed.
I was in Safeway here on Wednesday and saw 30% of the shoppers not wearing masks. I swing wide of them, turn around in the aisle. I asked the checker if the mask mandate was still in effect; she told me there never was a mask mandate; I responded there was and I thought it was still in effect.
I do not enjoy wearing a mask but feel a responsibility to do so for my community as a kind, generous act of compassion. It has nothing to do with liberty like is spewed by the covidiots in our community, our legislature, our law enforcement, and the stormers on the capitol on January 6th. The selfishness amazes me. I am not excited about getting a vaccine. But since I now qualify, I will get it...again, for the greater good of the community.
Extending the mask mandate was the right action to take while we are still in the height of this pandemic with additional strains popping up.
Think public health, consider national/international science, and consider all the members of our community.
With respect for the health of our community,
