She had worked for Northern Lights as a receptionist. She married Ted Buck on June 23, 1962, in Sandpoint and traveled to Germany where Ted was serving in the U.S. Army.

Returning to Sandpoint, she enjoyed working in the woods, in the Priest River area, with her husband. She was always a lady and looked nice on the logging site and camping at Indian Creek. She retired, from her logging job, at the age of 70.

She enjoyed her family, her flower gardens and family dinners at holiday gatherings. She had also traveled Idaho, Oregon and Montana in the family RV.

Virginia is survived by her husband, of 58 years, Ted in Sandpoint; two sons, Jay Buck and Jeff (Crystal) Buck, both in Sandpoint; two sisters, Sharon Girtman and Claire Wallace. Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
