Weight limits lifted from roads

SANDPOINT — Weight limits are being lifted from almost all county roads — at least for now, Bonner County Road & Bridge officials said.

That's thanks to the cooler temperatures, with even more in the forecast.

The only exception is in District 2, which covers the Priest Lake and Priest River areas, is Eastriver Road, which is closed due to lengthy road repairs. Please detour through Eastriver Loop. Weight limits are effect on both roads. The Eastriver Loop bridge has weight restrictions of 3.2 tons per axle and a height limit of 12-feet, 1-inch.

Per BCRC Ordinance #422, it shall be the responsibility of the hauler to contact the Road & Bridge Department to determine whether or not these restrictions are in place. These restrictions will remain in effect until changed, at which time updates will be posted.
