SANDPOINT — With warmer temperatures popping back into Bonner County, road weight limits are making a comeback in the area, Bonner County Road & Bridge officials said Monday.

District 2 — Priest River and Priest Lake areas — the following roads will be posted with weight limits by 2 p.m. Tuesday: Wrenco Loop, Wrenco Hills, Carr Creek Road, Smith Creek Road, N. Riley Creek Road, Campbell Point Road, Riley Creek Park Drive, E. Settlement Road and Anselmo Lane.
The following roads will be posted with green flags Tuesday, indicating weight restrictions are imminent, likely on Wednesday. The roads include Freeman Lake Road, Holly Glenn Road, Thama Dr, Peterson Road, Peninsula Road, Eastside Road, Eastriver Road, Eastriver Loop and all roads south of the Pend Oreille River.
Eastriver Road is closed from the 5700 block through the slide area due to lengthy road repairs. Please detour through Eastriver Loop. The Eastriver Loop bridge has weight restrictions of 3.2 tons per axle and a height limit of 12 feet, 1 inch.
District 3 — Sandpoint and Clark Fork areas — no roads posted at this time.
Per BCRC Ordinance #422, it shall be the responsibility of the hauler to contact the Road & Bridge Department to determine whether or not these restrictions are in place. These restrictions will remain in effect until changed, at which time updates will be posted.
