Sandpoint girls basketball hosts successful youth camp
SANDPOINT — More than 25 girls participated in a four-day youth camp hosted by the Sandpoint girls basketball team on June 21-24.
Former Bulldogs, including Grace Kirscher, Madi Schoening and Dawson Driggs, were on hand along with current high school players to teach the incoming third to eighth graders the fundamentals of the game.
“The highlight of the camp was seeing the past and present players work with the future players of the high school program,” head coach Will Love said. “Everybody worked hard and had a lot of fun. There is a lot of talent coming up through the system, so it will be fun to see these young basketball players when they are in high school.”
The Bulldogs plan to host free development sessions for girls in elementary school this fall. Contact coach Love at william.love@lposd.org to join a mailing list for more information.
