BGH announces temporary parking changes
Bonner General Health is kicking off a project Monday to update and improve its front parking lot.
BGH officials announced that the project, which will be done in two phases, will create more space, better traffic flow, and a safer environment.
There will be traffic and parking impacts and elevated noise levels throughout the project, BGH officials said, thanking the community in advance for their patience during the project.
During the first phase, scheduled from July 12-30, construction will take place in the north portion of the parking lot. Traffic will enter through the existing southern entrance to park in the south part of the lot and leave through a temporary exit to the north of the entrance.
All patients, employees and visitors will enter the hospital through patient registration at the lot's south end.
To best accommodate hospital patients, BGH officials said overflow parking will be available in the employee lot directly across from the affected area.
Details on the project's second phase, scheduled for Aug 2-Sept 3, will be publicized at a later date.
Bonner General Health is a 25-bed critical access hospital and healthcare network of outpatient clinics and services serving Sandpoint and the surrounding region.
