Golfing for a cure

SANDPOINT — The Elks Wednesday Morning Women's Golf League held its annual "Get Teed Off With Cancer" golf tournament at the Elks on June 23.

The 18-hole scramble benefits local cancer services and the event raised over $5,000. The three-person team of Tami Burlingame, Solan Genay-Wolf and Karita Genayf captured first. Nina Pinsonneault, George Pinsonneault, Mike Robertson and Jennifer Schlicht placed second, and Marcus Mabrey, Mychen Anderson, Niko Salinas and Mile Anderson took home third.
