MOSES LAKE — The Sandpoint Sharks club swim team made some waves at the Sizzlin' Summer Splash this past Friday through Sunday at Surf ‘n Slide Water Park in Moses Lake.

Head coach Sara Kuhn said the team continued to shine.

"This was such a fun meet for the swimmers," she said. "During the day they rocked in the pool and got to celebrate at the water park after. There was a lot of competition which was great for the swimmers to see."

Athena Deleeuw had standout performances in the 50 fly, 100 breast and 200 free. Lou Foust (50 back, 200 IM), Ava Deleeuw (400 free) and Ryleigh Bamer (100 free, 200 fly) also had strong showings.

Halle Wyman was named teammate of the meet.

Next up for the Sharks is their last meet of the summer — the Inland Empire Junior Olympics. The event will be held on July 23-25 at Witter Pool in Spokane and 17 Sharks will compete.
