Amanda Carol Callahan, 59, passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at her home near Sandpoint, Idaho. It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn her passing after a valiant and very brave fight with pancreatic cancer.

She was born on August 13, 1961 in San Diego, CA. She married Bill Callahan on May 10, 1981. Amanda and Bill were high school sweethearts, have been together for 44 years and recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. They moved to Sandpoint over 25 years ago and have made it their permanent home for their family.

Many people in Sandpoint will remember Amanda as a longtime Walmart employee. She was manager for several departments and worked as a loyal employee for over 23 years. She was admired and respected by her co-workers and customers.

The simple things in life gave Amanda the most pleasure. She was devoted to her grandchildren. She loved to garden and cook! She loved to sew, quilt and to photograph nature. She will always be remembered as a woman who gave of herself to others. She will be terribly missed by her family and friends.

She will be lovingly missed by her husband Bill Callahan; sons Thomas and William (Bo) Callahan, grandchildren, Bo Jr., Cloey, Joleen, and David.

She was preceded in death by her grandson Joseph Callahan.
