Don’t settle for living your life on autopilot

How much of your life remains on auto-pilot? When you walk through your day, how many things do you do that are simply a routine?

I am guessing that you always put your pants on with the same leg first and that you always drink the same thing as you are trying to wake up in the morning. Perhaps you drive the exact same route to and from work every day and that your job is “just a job” and you don’t absolutely love it nor are you working at your fullest potential.

Are you becoming complacent and allowing life to live you, instead of you living life? Let me ask you a simple question: What if today was your “last” day on Earth? What would you do differently? Would you treat your spouse or your children any differently than you do right at this very moment?

Would you enjoy a sunrise or would you let out a heavy sigh as your alarm clock beckons you to live another day? Would you be grateful with each breath you inhaled, instead of being angry with the incoming bills or the careless driver who cut you off? Would you tell your children that you loved them each time you tuck them into bed, when they go to school for the day or when they spend the night over at a friend’s house?

Perhaps this article will begin a new, positive pattern for you in your life. We cannot predict what our life’s outcome will be.

Unfortunately many things happen that are completely out of our control and will throw us, and often our immediate family, into a tailspin. Maybe “this” will be the initial step that will begin a chain reaction in your life that is exactly what you were searching for.

Start taking care of you and the things that are in your control. You are completely in control of what you choose to put into your body and how much you move your body. Isn’t it wonderful to know, that today is a fresh new start to a whole new you? Regardless of what you currently weigh, your age or what you do for a living, you CAN begin to make a difference. Change your mind and create your new life. Refreshing isn’t it?
