5 future Spartans play in 6th, 7th grade All-State games

TWIN FALLS — Five players from Priest River competed in the sixth and seventh grade All-State games on Saturday at Canyon Ridge High.
Ayson Simcox, Colton Kuprienko, Jacob McCaffery and Nathan Fegert played in the sixth grade game and Gavin Griesemer took the field in the seventh grade game. All five represented Team Idaho.
The games pitted Team Idaho against Team Treasure Valley. Players from Boise and the surrounding areas formed Team Treasure Valley and players from across the rest of the state made up Team Idaho.
Team Idaho won the sixth and seventh grade games, allowing the future Spartans to raise some hardware. All five players have gone through the Priest River Junior Tackle program.
