Richard Barry Kamplain, 72

Richard Barry Kamplain, 72, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2020, in Sandpoint, Idaho. Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 26, 2021, at the Lakeview Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Kamplain officiating. Military honors will be held.

Barry was born on December 15, 1947, in Wetumka, Oklahoma, to Joel and Dorra Kamplain. He grew up and attended schools in Artesia, New Mexico. He attended Ventura College. Barry worked in construction, specializing in drywall.

Barry married Mary Jane Eggemeyer in 1970 in Ojai, California, and they raised two boys, Troy and Benjamin. After moving to Paris, Arkansas, they divorced. He later moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Barry enjoyed riding motorcycles, drumming in bands and playing music. He also enjoyed softball, playing, coaching and sponsoring.

He is survived by his mother, Dorra Kamplain of Sandpoint; two sons, Troy (Billie) Kamplain of Paris, Arkansas, and Ben Kamplain of Little Rock, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Treston and Liam; sister, Linda Andis of Sandpoint; brother, Michael (Melodye) Kamplain of Boise; one niece, Cyndi; and three nephews, Steven, Trevor and Elias.

He was preceded in death by his father.
