March 9, 1971 – LOAD OF LOGS ROLLS

Frank Willford of Westmond was driver of a truck which had a load of logs roll off Friday at First Ave. and Cedar. The logs were secured with a chain and cable, preventing them from rolling through the J.C. Penney store’s front window. Traffic was blocked for some time.

HOW DO “MOVIES” INFLUENCE CHILDREN?

There has been a growing concern throughout the country of late, regarding the influence which motion pictures exert on the habits of young people. “The eye beholds.” The “movies” constitute a school offering a course of specific instruction to our boys and girls and much of an objectionable nature is shown.
