Dennis Edward Medick, 71
Dennis Edward Medick was born January 13, 1950, in Watertown, South Dakota. He died of heart failure on February 24, 2021 in Louisville, Kentucky.
Dennis was born to Donald and Doris Medick, who preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Tammy Medick; four stepchildren; one grandson, Cassius; and his faithful dog, Jasper. He also is survived by his sister, Diane Medick of Kennewick, Washington; along with aunts and numerous cousins, who live near and far.
Dennis graduated in 1969 from Sandpoint Senior High school in Sandpoint, Idaho. He lettered in football and golf and was a member of the S Club. Dennis enlisted in the Navy in October 1969, he spent four years in the Navy getting out in 1973. He decided the service was his life and he enlisted in the Army in 1974 and retired at his last duty station Fort Knox, just outside of Louisville, Kentucky, in 1994. He stayed in Kentucky the rest of his life.
Dennis was an avid golfer and any chance he got he would play a round of golf. Every place he was stationed, he had his golf clubs and he would hit the links. One of his favorite spots to golf was the Elks Golf Course in Sandpoint, Idaho. It was only nine holes, but he liked the course and all the people he had an opportunity to play golf with.
The following have all preceded him in death: his parents; his grandparents, Ray and Ione Ries, and Roy and Alpha Rhoads; his uncles and aunts, Lyle and Betty Rhoads, Eddy Rhoads, Dale and Mary Rhoads and Leonard Rhoads, and Norma and Larry Jahnel; and by cousins Brandy Rhoads and David Jahnel.
