There is no substitute for experience

| May 4, 2021 1:00 AM

You may have heard the saying, “There is no substitute for experience.” That saying has never been more true as now with the upcoming May 18 election for the East Bonner County Library Board.

The incumbent members, Jeanine Asche and Amy Flint are both highly qualified individuals who have served our community with grace and efficiency. Jeanine Asche has a library science degree with 40 years experience and Amy Flint, current board chair, is a former NIC English professor, skilled in grant writing and technology expertise.

Our library is the envy of many. It offers a full range of services and provides many learning opportunities. You may have seen in the past, in many situations, when unqualified people are put into a position. This is not what we want to happen to our library.

I have done research on the folks running against our incumbents and it seems the only qualifications they appear to have is their disdain for wearing a mask. I think we can all agree that the positions require far more than that.

Please join me on May 18 to vote for Jeanine Asche and Amy Flint for our East Bonner County Library Board.
