SANDPOINT — The Sandpoint lacrosse girls varsity team fell just short against a team made up of players from the Spokane Stealth and Mead Big Cats during the Lax on the Lake tournament on Saturday night at War Memorial Field.

The Bulldogs lost 4-3. It was their fourth game in 24 hours, but that didn't stop the young squad from battling until the final whistle blew. Earlier Saturday, the club team split games against the Montana Wilds, falling 10-5 in the first and winning 10-6 in the second.

Over the weekend, head coach Nancy Dooley said the Bulldogs had a strong showing from Sarah Casey in net and Saylor Bond on defense. High scorers for Sandpoint were Mia Przybylski, Cassidy Aiken and Riley Hardy.

"With only two seniors on the team, the young Bulldogs showed remarkable poise and maturity under pressure," Dooley said.
