Dunbar to speak at chamber luncheon

| May 11, 2021 1:00 AM

SANDPOINT — The basics of employment law will be the focus of a presentation at Thursday's Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce lunch meeting.

The program will begin at noon in the Columbia Bank building in the upstairs auditorium. Lunch is provided by Tango Cafe.

The cost is $16 for members and $21 for non-members. Payments will not be accepted at the door as there will only be online registration before the meeting via the chamber's website.

The program will be presented by Alison Dunbar, a local litigation and transactions attorney, and a board member-at-large of our Chamber from Berg, McLaughlin & Nelson, Chtd.

Among the topics covered by Dunbar will be hiring, firing, at will, and wages. The presentation will provide an overview of common questions faced by small and large business owners alike when handling employee relations and communications.

The program is sponsored by Friends of Scotchman Peaks Wilderness and underwritten by Alyse Ehrmantrout and Ken Wood, Edward Jones Investments, and Sandpoint Computers.
